Mackenzie & Jason |Austin, Texas Wedding|
I would have to say that we could not have ended our wedding season on a better note. We recently traveled to Austin, Texas to photograph Mackenzie & Jason’s big day. It was perfect! Not only are they two of the coolest people we know, they are also artistic, creative and loved by so many people . They recently moved to Austin from New York City thus, many of their friends traveled from New York to celebrate their marriage. It was so beautiful seeing everyone from all of their worlds come together. For quite some time, their friends from all over the country started making origami paper cranes with the goal of creating one thousand birds. A thousand paper cranes are traditionally given as a wedding gift symbolizing the wish of a thousand years of happiness and prosperity upon a couple. Mackenzie and Jason didn’t know this was happening until their wedding day. Their friends strung them up throughout the reception area – it was gorgeous!
Mackenzie is an insanely talented photographer (seriously, check out her work here: Mackenzie Anne Smith) whom we met at a photography conference in Portland, Oregon back in January. We instantly hit it off with her, becoming fast friends. She asked us to capture her and Jason’s wedding day, an honor for which we are truly grateful. It was special beyond words. Thank you Mackenzie and Jason. We love you both! xoxo, Amelia & Stephen
